Sorry for the Hiatus // New Adventure Starting tomorrow #GreatAlaskaHitchOff

Dear followers, friends, and fans of ThumbsOut. Sorry for the long duration of not posting. I first of wanted to let everyone¬† know I have not given up on the project. Over the last few months I have been busy settling in at my new job as a Designer here in Anchorage and have really focused on getting my career started in order to be able to complete the documentary that you all have been helping me to complete. I am adding a new phase to the documentary that will include some hitchhiking through Alaska. My next trip will be an attempt at a 1,700 mile trip from Anchorage, Alaska to the Deadhorse, Alaska. This will greatly depend on the weather considering they are having sporadic winter storms through the Brooks Range, and other areas within the Arctic Circle. The catch is, I have 78 hours to attempt this journey. Therefore I am going to call this Phase the #GreatAlaskaHitchOff. The other catch. . . If I don’t make it I currently have to shave my beard that I have been working on for a solid four months. Follow me during this trip, as I will be posting current content from my travels, and begin the next stage of sharing edited pieces from the documentary and please be patient as I try to balance this independent side project, and my professional career. Thanks for all the support and stay tuned to rkedzie on instagram, @Thumbs_Out on twitter, and on Facebook.

Moving Back to Alaska for the New Year!

Just wanted to update those still following ThumbsOut. I will be moving back to Alaska from Wisconsin as soon as the 1st of January, 2013. I am excited to announce this as it has enabled me to fulfill a huge goal of mine. I will be working for a Design Agency in Anchorage, and will continue to work on the ThumbsOut project over the winter, and through the next year.

When will I finish the Documentary?

I get this question a lot, and this is still up in the air because I have to work on this project on the side while I build my own funding. I am hoping to finish this by the Spring of 2014, as I will continue to gather footage, follow up on connections made, and continue to edit.

Keep following because I will continue to post photos, video, and information from the trip and my current times in Alaska. Follow my Facebook page for even more updates at this link ThumbsOut on Facebook

Thank you,

Ryan Kedzie
